- I'm a wife and a mother who gets spurts of inspiration. My first blog followed my home building process. Many, many years later, I'm living in my house and its almost done. Now, my two boys keep me busy. They have so much energy, attitude and style.

My husband, Paul, and I live in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands and have dreamt of owning our own home for years.
In 2009: Unfortunately the prices of homes here have skyrocketed over the past 10 years or so, so we haven't been able to afford anything decent. Thanks to help from a family member, we were able to find a great piece of land at an reasonable price (relatively speaking). So, here is our journey to homeownership.
Now: The house is almost done. Home prices have dropped (somewhat). I am finishing the house and making a career change to sell real estate. So, this is now the end of one journey and the beginning of another.
I would also love to help guide you through your home buying or selling experience.
